As a sign of good faith, Omovich loans Cole a valuable painting, promptly stolen off Cole’s wall. Are You Looking For 80s Clothing & Accessories? Check out what we got!.

I’ve found some of the coolest clothing styles and sites when it comes to shopping online. The cool thing about online shopping is that it doesn’t matter what you are looking for or what style you want – chances are someone will have exactly what you are looking for! I’m a big 80s kid. I grew up through the 80s and the 90s and I have always liked 80s clothing and shoes – especially my huge collection of Converse! When it comes to street wear, there are a few specific options you might be looking for as far as clothing items and accessories go.

You want to look good, but you might not be willing to spend $500 on a pair of jeans or at least I know I’m not! Some of the items we offer online are  gold rosaries, nerd glasses, and even the old school Fresh Prince 80s hat. A lot of these styles are still in season and in popular demand.

For example, while there may be some debate as to whether the trend of gold rosaries is fashionable or functional (for the faithful), there’s no doubt that it’s back on the rise. Back in the 80s it was inspired by Madonna, but now both male and female celebrities alike have been spotted with their rosary necklaces, including Rihanna and Mischa Barton. If you follow celebs and what they were and you wish you could have the products and items they have, but you don’t think you can afford them – you are dead wrong! Just because someone famous is wearing a product you like, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to be uber expensive.

In fact, for a lot of people it’s NOT about the price, it’s about the style and comfort. We not only offer products, but also offer advice blogs as well such as how to achieve the Run DMC look and how to go from geeky to retro. This could ultimately be your “in” to what’s new and what’s hot! You no longer have to spend thousands of dollars to look the part, just check out our site often. We offer the latest in streetwear and 80s clothing and you will be all decked out before you know it!

Urban Streetwear.

Fashion is one of the things that allows you to instantly recognize a cultural group, and there are few places where it is more apparent than in an urban setting. Streetwear is a general term for any kind of fashion developed in an urban setting, instead of in some fashion design room. There are many kinds of streetwear, including retro, punk, and hip-hop, and that’s only counting a few styles.

Looking abroad you can find clothes inspired by anime, video games, music, and the urban setting it’s self. The key to developing a good look in an urban setting is observing the people around you, and then taking a look and customizing it for yourself. Urban wear is typically put together from a wide variety of sources, but since it has caught on in the last decade, you can find stores that serve as urban outfitters, and really give you a wide range of stuff to pick from in one place.

That said, if you are looking for a cool look without spending a load of cash, mixing and matching is still your best bet. Traditional urban street wear evolved from the Inner city in large cities like New York. Common aspects of traditional street wear include sneakers, baggy jeans, and darker colors. This is a great look if you live in an East Coast city and want to blend in to an inner city crowd, however the idea of street wear has evolved out into a lot of different places and ideas, and the label can be applied to a wide variety of fashions.

Hip hop fashion, as developed in the 80s, is one type of urban clothing, often times confused with traditional street wear, however urban outfitters often sell this kind of clothing, such is and example of the kind of overarching idea of street wear, which not longer applies to the sneakers and jeans style of inner city New York. Urban clothing has built up within American cities as well as abroad. In places like Japan, there is a whole different kind of street wear. Anime costumes and video game clothing are common in Tokyo, and much of Japan’s youth is infatuated with this sort of fashion. Places like London, England have also developed and unique style, with brighter colors and stark contrasts.

So make sure you know just what you are referring to when you talk about street wear, as some may assume you are talking about the traditional idea. Urban wear has been influenced strongly by the attitude and art found in the cities that it has developed in. In places like New York and Detroit, you will find Urban wear that draws heavily from graffiti art as a source of inspiration. On the west coast, hip hop can be cited as a major influence of fashion, and as stated earlier, Japan has games and anime to thank for much of it’s urban fashion. Street wear is a broad ideal, and a worldwide trend.

Achieve the Classic Run DMC Look.

Achieve the Classic Run DMC Look

Run DMC is regarded as one of the pioneers of the hip hop movement. Founded by Joseph ‘Rev Run’ Simmons, Darryl ‘DMC’ McDaniels and Jason ‘Jam-Master Jay’ Mizell in New York City in the 80s, the group has contributed a lot in taking the genre into the mainstream and helped it reach wider audiences by crossing over genres (they collaborated with Aerosmith in their version of ‘Walk This Way’) and performing in high-profile events such Live Aid in 1985.

But aside from their music, another thing that cemented the group’s reputation is its classic look. If there were such a thing as a definitive old school hip hop get-up, then theirs would be on top of the list.

So how does the group’s classic get up look like? Tight skinny jeans and jackets, a fedora hat, a pair of white Adidas sneakers without laces, Cazal glasses and the oversize gold dookie rope chain necklaces are the things that would define the classic Run DMC look.

And man, did they preach about it. The group has recorded a song called ‘My Adidas’ in praise of their favorite brand of sneakers. Also their song ‘Raising Hell’ puts into words their fashion sense. “C’mon basic black, shell toe Adidas, black hat, black shirt and jeans, fat gold rope chains and black leather jacket.” Nobody can say it – and wear it – better than them.

Their preaching paid off and has influenced a host of fans that is becoming a very popular trend. Achieve retro fashion with today’s trend at Coolio High! If you see a rapper with blings so large you could buy an entire country with it, then they owe it to the rap group that started that trend – Run DMC.

LMFAO DIY Fashion – Party Rock.

On a mission to capture their party into a way of life, and get everyone else on the LMFAO wagon, they started making original dance songs in their studio apartment to play in the clubs. In true DIY (Do-It-Yourself) fashion, Red and Sky released their “I’m In Miami Bitch” song on myspace and branded their signature look — wearing loud colors, rockin’ glasses with no lenses and always stayin’ fly with one of their own self-designed shirts. These boys are always on the grind touring constantly, and keeping fans updated daily with the LMFAO Dailys on youtube. And just to add to the list of entrepreneurial projects, they keep it real with their ‘do-it-yourself’ approach by running their own label and clothing line, Party Rock

Clothes Never Go Out Of Style For Long.

Over the years, clothing, like music, has drastically changed. Of course, different people have different styles and tastes of clothing, but the overall trends are very in keeping with individual music tastes. The clothes of the 80’s, much like the music, were colorful and bold, and grabbed attention for whoever was wearing them. Many styles of 80’s clothing have come back into play, as many clothing styles do after a time. Pieces like Member’s Only jackets are being seen quite often lately. With respect to the trend, clothing of the 90’s has made a slight comeback also. Fresh Prince Hats and street wear were very popular clothing in the 90’s. Millions of teenagers, and even the older generation, have sported this retro look lately.

T-shirts with loud, bright emblems, or caps, even the nerdy glasses from RUN DMC have become recently popular, as are skinny jeans that have colorful and large designs. What has been really popular in the Bay Area for a few years are custom painted shirts. Actually, hip hop and urban wear, as well as street wear all seem to revolve around the same design theme. Think of rappers and you have the look that all the designers have been trying to define in these types of clothing. Hip hop clothing designers have caught on to this 80s-90s style.

No matter what your taste in clothing styles, chances are you fall into one of these categories. The 80’ s and 90’s brought us loads of fashion changes, and some things that haven’t changed. It has always been said that if you keep your old clothes for about 10 years they will come into style again, and that has proven true over and over. If you were a big fan of the 80’s or 90’s clothing styles, then your chance has come to wear your old favorites.

We’re Jerkin’.

Now We Jerk – A Jerkin Documentary presented by the LA Weekly from Brilliant Comrades on Vimeo.

Everyone started jerkin’ last year. When the kids returned from summer vacation, it was like they’d contracted some rare virus. A tsetse-fly bite in reverse, but rather than sleeping sickness, teenagers from Long Beach to Lancaster started getting geeked up … a dancing dominoes of flailing limbs, skinny jeans and fluorescent accessorizing. Jerkin’ at talent shows and on top of lunchroom tabletops. Jerkin’ in parking lots and bus stops, underground teen clubs, every single function (party), and, of course, on YouTube. Much of Los Angeles’ 18-and-under population was jerkin’ — presumably because they were the only ones young enough not to snicker at the term’s historically self-flagellating connotation.
